So it’s Super Bowl season. Some of us are in it for the commercials. Some of us paint our faces in our teams colors, darn our teams shirt, and prepare to invest EVERYTHING in the few hours of the most important game of the year!!
It’s a big day for parties, food and drinks! Food needs to be portable cause you never know when you need to get to the TV. So let us give you a few options to feed a hungry crowd. Let us know what your favorite gameday recipe is! We would love to hear them!
Greek Lamb Flatbread Pizza (for the Ram fans out there)
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb Lamb Mince
- 4 Thin Crust Flatbread or you Lavash Bread if you have any
- 1 Large Red Onion – diced
- 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
- 3 Garlic Clove – you may add more if you like the taste
- 4 Tbsp Olive Oil or any light oil you have
Powdered Spices:
- ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 Tsp Cumin Powder
- 2 Tsp ground coriander
- 1 Tsp Dry Oregano
- 1 Tsp Dry Parsley – optional
- 1/8 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
- Pinch Clove Powder
- 1 Tsp Red Chili Flakes or Aleppo Peppers if you have some on hand
Pizza Topping:
- 1 Cup Diced Cucumber
- 1/2 Cup Cherry Tomatoes – sliced
- 1/2 Cup Diced Red Onions
- 1/4 Cup Mozerella
- 1 Cup Crumbled Feta Cheese
- 1 Tsp Dry Oregano
- Salt
- Pepper
Garlic-Mint Sauce:
- 1/2 Cup Mint
- 1/2 Cup Yogurt
- 1 Garlic Clove
- 1 Tbsp Cream Cheese – optional
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
What you do with them
Cooking the Lamb:
- Heat oil in a large non-stick pan,.
- Add onion, garlic and saute cook until the onions are soft.?
- Add the lamb mince and break it up using a wooden spoon (you can use potato masher to separate it quickly).
- Saute everything and let the lamb cook over low heat till lightly browned.
- Now add all the powdered spices, yogurt, saute and cover.
- Let this cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes (till the lamb is evenly cooked).
- Once the lamb is cooked, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.
Make the Garlic Mint Sauce:
- In a blender add all the mint sauce ingredients and pulse till you form a smooth mix.
- Keep aside.
Making the Greek Lamb Flatbread Pizza:
- Preheat the oven at 180C.
- Take 1 flatbread and spread 2 Tbsp of mint sauce all around the pizza.
- Spread the cooked lamb mix over the flatbread all the way to the edges.
- Add toppings, olive oil and mozzarella.?
- Repeat with process till all 4 flatbread pizza are ready.
- Now place all of them within the two racks of oven and Bake until the dough is browned and crispy – 6-8minutes.
- Once the Pizza is done, add some cucumber, red onions, fresh cilantro, oregano and mint sauce.
- Finally sprinkle some red chili flakes and serve immediately.
Lobster Roll (for the Patriots fans)
Ingredients
- Kosher salt
- 3 1 1/4-pound live lobsters
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 2–3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 6 New England–style split-top hot dog buns
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
What you do with them:
- Pour water into a large pot to a depth of 1 inch; bring to a boil and salt generously. Add lobsters, cover, and cook until bright red, 8–10 minutes. Transfer lobsters to a rimmed baking sheet and let cool.
- Crack lobster shells, pick meat from tail and claws, and cut into 1/2-inch pieces. Mix lobster, celery, lemon juice, chives, and 2 tablespoons mayonnaise in a medium bowl; season with salt and pepper and add more mayonnaise, if desired.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spread flat sides of buns with butter. Cook until golden, about 2 minutes per side; fill with lobster mixture.

Sheetpan Nacho * remember if they are stuck together it counts as one Nacho!
Ingredients
- 16 oz can Black Beans
- 16 oz container of favorite Pico de Gallo
- 8 oz Guacomole
- 6 ounces restaurant-style tortilla chips
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
What you do with them
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Arrange half of chips on a 9½-by-13” foil-lined rimmed baking sheet.
- Top with half of beans, then half of each cheese.
- Repeat layering with remaining chips, beans, and cheese.
- Bake until cheese is melted and bubbling, about 5 minutes.
- Serve nachos topped with tomatillo avocado salsa, pico de gallo, sliced jalapeño, and radishes.
Jalapeno popper pig in a blankie
Ingredients
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent dough
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 1/2 c. Cheddar
- kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 8 jalapenos, ends and seeds removed and halved
- 16 mini hot dogs
What you do with them
- Preheat oven to 375° F
- line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice crescent rolls longwise into thirds.
- In a medium bowl, using a spatula, combine cream cheese, garlic powder, bacon, and cheddar.
- Season with salt and pepper and stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Using a knife, spread the cream cheese mixture on the crescent dough.
- Place mini hot dogs into jalapeños and place on the thick end of crescent triangle and role them up.
- Brush with egg wash
- Bake until golden, 15-20 minutes.
- Serve
