Look, I worked in the restaurant business for years and years. Nobody wants to think about it, but your servers got mommas too. There they are trying to make your day special while their poor mom is sitting all alone with no one to share brunch with except the TV and the cat, and the nere do well sibling that passively aggressively reminds her “they’d be here if they could”.
Look, those people work hard for not a lot of pay, and they deserve brunch with mom too. So, why don’t you take it upon yourself to make brunch for the moms in your life? I mean why else would you be reading this unless you like to cook, so go cook! It will mean so much more when she sees you working hard for her meal, and make sure you don’t leave the kitchen a wreck, it’s her day too. I suggest this fantastic Lobster muffins with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.
Sure, it’s a little pricey, but moms are worth it, and if the lobster looks a little off, go with shrimp, or even crab meat (think Oscar). Your momma will thank you and so will the armada of server’s momma’s too.
