Monkey Brains

Who doesn’t love a little brain on Halloween morning?!  Make sure your little monsters start their day with some brain power…


  • Round oven safe bowl – medium in size
  • Cooking Spray (we used Pam)
  • Oven

Prep Work:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350
  • Cover inside of medium size bowl with cooking spray
  • Combine frosting into one bowl
  • Mix in Red Food coloring to desired color


  • 4-5 cans of pre-packaged cinnamon rolls (we used Pillsbury, but go with your fav)
  • Set the frosting from the cans to the side
  • Red food coloring

What you do with them:

  • Unroll cinnamon roll one at a time
  • Form rope
  • Fold rope to form a ruffle or ribbon
  • Place in bowl
  • Gently push down
  • Repeat until all cans are used
  • Bake for 30-45 minutes (or until all sides are golden brown)
  • Cool completely
  • Turn bowl upside down to release
  • Drizzle Frosting over top
  • Serve!!
